3% Rotation #309: CFB Friday 3% OVER 55.5 in Washington State Cougars vs San Jose State Spartans @ 10 ET - First thought in looking at this game was fading Washington State off the big win over the rival Huskies last week. Trouble is, the Spartans defense is tough to trust. That said, the over looks like a great play in this one because the Spartans like to throw the ball and the Cougars defense is off a hard-fought effort against their rival Washington last week. Also, the week before it looks like the Washington State defense was great against Texas Tech but the Red Raiders actually piled up huge yardage in that game and it was a bad break for over players (we had that play here folks) in that Texas Tech scored just 16 points despite moving the ball very very well. The point is that San Jose State should be able to move the ball just fine here but I also expect the defense to have issues. Washington State is off to a 3-0 start and they are surging with confidence right now as a result plus they scored 70 points against an FCS foe in Week 1. Of course the Spartans are not an FCS foe but they are a rather weak FBS team defensively and I expect their D to get beaten on big plays early and often in this one. The Spartans QB, Brown, does have an average of over 300 ypg passing and he can also help in terms of backdoor late scoring as well. Again, I am not on the side here because I don't trust the Spartans D but I do expect their offense to move it well here against the Cougars just like Texas Tech did two weeks ago in that deceiving final score of 37-16. Washington State is allowing over 450 yards per game this season but they did put up nearly 550 yards of offense the last time these teams met. That was about 5 years ago but there is a similar difference in level of these programs to this day and the Cougars will score plenty here but the Spartans hang around within a couplr scores. I expect that to help push this game into the 60s in terms of total points. Good weather expected here as well. 3% OVER 55.5 in Washington State
