3% Rotation #304: CFB Thursday 3% Troy Trojans +13.5 vs Texas State Bobcats @ 7 ET - I know Troy is having a rough go of it early this season and Texas State has looked like the much better team. But lets not forget that since Texas State joined Troy in the Sun Belt Conference, the Bobcats are 0-9 SU against the Trojans! Certainly I am not saying that the Bobcats will not win this game SU but I am saying that Troy could rise up and surprise here. Yes, I am aware of their QB injury situation too but Troy is at home and with a bye week on deck and this is the Bobcats SBC opener. If there was ever a game to really step it up, this is it for Troy as they can spoil the SBC opener of Texas State! Off a loss in their SBC opener last week versus UL Monroe, I am sure that the Trojans will be ready here and they are catching the Bobcats having to travel on a short week. Not only that, Troy is playing their 3rd straight home game! The Bobcats are off a road defeat and may struggle to respond here on the road off a disheartening loss in which they blew a big 18-point mid-3rd quarter lead to lose late to Sam Houston. Also, other than the game against Arizona State, the Bobcats have played a weaker overall schedule in comparison with the Trojans whose games have included 3 teams that are combined 10-3 this season and that includes Memphis and Iowa. Ultimately the Bobcats should break their 0-9 skid versus Troy but it will not be easy and a win by 7 or less points is the most likely outcome here given all of the above. The fact is I would not be surprised to see a 3 or 4 point game here given the situational and motivational factors. I feel the Bobcats could be reeling a bit off B2B tight losses. Grab the generous points here as the Trojans will put up a fight in this weeknight TV home game opportunity. It is a chance for them to get positive momentum before their bye week and truly a chance to turn their early season struggles around with a massive home dog upset! Grab the points here but don't be surprised if this one is decided in the final minutes of the 4th quarter again in terms of the SU victor. 3% TROY +13.5
