Analysis

Early returns for the 2023 NFL Draft class of quarterbacks have been mixed. CJ Stroud was fantastic in his rookie year. Bryce Young will get a fresh start with a new coaching staff this year. Anthony Richardson missed most of his rookie campaign with injuries. The guy that quietly appears poised for a second-year breakout is Will Levis. The Titans surprisingly opened their checkbook over the offseason, bringing in a slew of free agents on offense. DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley will lead the receiving corps while running backs Tyjae Spears and Tony Pollard lead the rushing attack. People around Nashville have taken note of the quiet confidence that is surrounding Levis and first-year head coach Brian Callahan. Tennessee won all three of its preseason games as Callahan looks to build a winning culture in the Music City. Caleb Williams gives Bears' fans reason for optimism this season, but we don't believe Chicago should be laying 4.5 points in this spot. Thirteen of the Titans' 17 games last season were decided by eight points or less. Tennessee has invested in some big-name free agents to turn some of those close losses into wins and we believe that first one could come in this spot. In addition to the spending splurge on offense, the Titans also traded for Chiefs' cornerback L’Jarius Snead. When you go position group by position group, we do not believe that there is 4.5 points separating these two rosters.
