Analysis

Very simply put: We don't see anything that separates these two teams. So if oddsmakers are going to offer a +120 moneyline on a game that we have lined as a pick'em, we will gladly take that price on a coinflip. Both teams enter this game with concerns on the offensive line, but the Browns have some serious red flags while lined up against Micah Parsons. Starting left tackle Jedrick Wills, Jr. has yet to return to practice following an MCL injury. If he is unable to go, veteran Jack Conklin (who is also returning from an injury), will be asked to play on the left side for the first time since 2017. That is a scary proposition against one of the league's best pass rushes. Browns' kicker Dustin Hopkins curiously missed practice on Monday, and Cleveland doesn't have another kicker on the roster. In a game with a point spread under a field goal that is expected to be tight for 60 minutes, special teams could certainly come into play. Deshaun Watson did not play in any of the Browns' preseason games, and he was slow to join the team as a full participant in workouts after undergoing shoulder surgery. Cleveland has assembled one of the best rosters in the league and the Browns will certainly be in contention this season, but there are a few too many questions for our liking heading into Week 1.
