Analysis

If the Chiefs are our favorite play of Week 2, why are we betting on a pro-Bengals player prop? In our opinion, they complement each other perfectly. Much has been made this week about the status of Joe Burrow's wrist and the overall health of the Bengals' offense. Tee Higgins still isn't practicing, which means that he is likely unavailable on Sunday. The strength of the Chiefs' defense is the pass rush, which means Burrow will not have a lot of time to operate. With Joe Mixon now in Houston, Cincinnati's running back duo of Zack Moss and Chase Brown combined for 55 rushing yards on 12 carries last week against the Patriots. So the No. 1 receiver missed the entire preseason. The No. 2 receiver is out with an injury. The new running backs haven't clicked. Where is Burrow going to turn on Sunday? The trusty tight end safety net. Gesicki caught three of four targets in Week 1 against New England, including a touchdown. Let's not forget what Baltimore's tight ends did against the Chiefs' defense in Week 1. Isaiah Likely caught nine of his 12 targets for 111 yards and a touchdown, and those numbers all would have been even greater if his big toe would have stayed in-bounds on the last play of the game. If the Chiefs' pass rush is affecting Burrow, look for Gesicki to see a bigger role in the offense. We like Kansas City to be in control of this game, so we're projecting Cincinnati to be in catch-up mode and looking to throw the ball a lot in the second half.
