Analysis

Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart has thrown for 795 yards and six TDs and has rushed for a score in each of his team’s first two wins. You can't really blame Lane Kiffin for running up the score because the Rebels have essentially punted the fourth quarter in both games. Dart has some competition for the Heisman on his own roster with Miami (FL) transfer Henry Parrish Jr. coming off a four-touchdown game. Parrish Jr. has gotten the nod as the preferred back ahead of returnee Ulysses Bentley IV, who will likely see more time here. The Rebels saw DT Walter Nolen, considered the best defensive transfer on the market over the summer, limp off the field against Middle Tennessee. Wake Forest out-gained Virginia 544-430 last week and got 403 passing yards from Boise State transfer Hank Bachmeier. Dave Clawson’s pass-happy offense appears to be humming, but the Deacs' defense will likely be the worst in the ACC this season. Ole Miss should have no problem reaching the mid-40s in this one, and the Deacs have enough talent on offense to make their own contribution on the scoreboard.
