Tottenham at Newcastle United
England Premier League
(200109) Tottenham at (200110) Newcastle United
Of the last seven meetings between these two, six of them finished Over 3.5 goals and they one that didn't finished with three. Simply put, this is a high-scoring rivalry and I don't see much of a reason to think that won't continue.
Newcastle won their opening match despite receiving a red card so their 1-0 scoreline is certainly a not indicative of anything and they settled for a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth in their second match. However, those two goals came on a combined 30 shots and 3.8 xG which is generally the recipe to go Over this total.
Meanwhile Tottenham opened with a 1-1 draw at Leicester and then put four past Everton last weekend as a reminder of what this offense can do. The Spurs problem is generally their defense is poor. Last season they were the #2 team in the league with a 27-11 BTTS Yes record and the #1 team going Over 2.5 goals at 30-8. I usually look to the BTTS + Over 2.5 parlay but it is priced at -200 for good reason, so we will go with the extra goal instead.
