Make the Cut
Matteo Manassero was a young prodigy who was never able to live up to the hype and sort of faded away into nothingness. Fast forward ten years and he has worked tremendously hard on his game and his resurgence in weekly leaderboards has shown that.
Matteo won the Jonsson Workwear Open back in March and has since made the cut in 11 of his last 14 starts including nine Top-25 finishes. He finished T6 last week to extend his streak to seven straight cuts made including finishing T15 at the Scottish Open (PGA Tour) and T31 at The Open Championship. He then followed that up with a T18 at the Olympic Tournament representing Italy. He has gained strokes on approach in seven straight events and on the DP World Tour, that is usually enough to make the cut.
If he doesn't open with a 73 last week to finish T6, he likely contends to win.

South America World Cup Qualifying
Chile at Argentina
Chile did not make it out of their group at the Copa America tournament this summer despite only conceding one goal in three matches. The problem was they didn't score a single goal! Their lone loss was to this very team, losing 1-0 to Argentina with Messi in the lineup of course. That won't be the case this time around as he continues to nurse his ankle injury he suffered later in the tournament.
So taking away Argentina's best weapon obvioulsy helps the Under, but their defense has been so good conceding just one goal in six matches during the Copa tournament, not one of them finishing Over 3.5 goals. In fact, none of them even finished Over 2.5 goals.
They didn't fluke their way to a World Cup win and a Copa America win in back-to-back tournaments by luck.
