461 Carolina at New Orleans
Divisional road dogs have been a solid play in opening week. Considering that Carolina had a -9 turnover margin, and -38 sack margin a year ago, we can only look for improvement out of the Panthers. Coming off a sub-standard season, nobody is lining up to back this squad. Which is good news for those looking for point spread value.
The Saints had an extremely easy schedule year ago, and you can say they underperformed. They played the easiest schedule in the league in pass defense, yet only won nine games. In our opinion the Saints come into the season as an overrated squad. The secondary is a term strength, but no other unit ranks better than league average. This is not the type of squad we want to lay points with at this juncture.
