This was one of the craziest finishes in what was an improbable start a season ago for Colorado. Long story short, Colorado State had the game won before a few wild plays forced overtime, in which the Buffaloes eventually prevailed. There will no doubt be revenge on the minds of the Rams as they play at home in Fort Collins this time around on Saturday. The question is, can they stop Coach Prime’s offense even with the shaky line play? 
 

Offense at the skill positions has never really been in question for Colorado. Shedeur Sanders will be one of the top quarterbacks taken in next year's draft, but the offensive line remains a major concern. As far as CSU, their secondary is their biggest strength so it will be the veteran’s job to keep Colorado’s air attack at bay. Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi is regarded as one of the best QB’s in the Mountain West and the Rams were lucky to hang onto star wide receiver Tory Horton, who left last weekend’s game with an injury and his status is currently TBD. There’s no love lost between these two schools and we can expect another game that likely goes down to the wire. The Buffaloes only beat NDSU by 5 at home before being handled by Nebraska last week. The trenches is a major problem that needs to be addressed and Colorado doesn’t have nearly as good of a team as the public thinks. Look for the Rams to get some revenge for the 2023 double overtime loss, or at least get the cover trying. Take Colorado State.
