Jimmy Adams
(961) Los Angeles Angels at (962) Minnesota Twins
As of Monday the Twins hold the final wild card spot in the AL, but they’ll need to keep winning in order to play baseball in October. Lucky for them they get the Angels at home for a 3-game set beginning with Reid Detmers, a prime “fade candidate.” Detmers has allowed at least 4 earned in 7 of his past 9 trips to the mound. His breaking run value ranks in the 1st percentile and the Halos have lost 8 of his past 9 starts. Other than a rough first few outings David Festa has pitched very well, allowing 2 runs or fewer in 7 of his past 8. This is a good series for Minnesota to help cement themselves as a playoff team. Expect them to get out to an early lead in the opener as we fade Detmers. Take the Twins F5 RL.
