Big SEC matchup on Saturday as the Texas A&M Aggies head into Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators.

Both teams rebounded with dominant wins last week after being downed back in Week 1, with this game being all the more pivotal because of those initial losses.

Despite losing to Notre Dame in Week 1, Texas A&M restricted the Irish to just 158 yards through the air in that game, a big improvement from the substandard air defense that they displayed for most of last season.

For the Gators, it was a much worse showing in their performance against the Miami Hurricanes, allowing Miami the opportunity to rip them apart through the air for a massive 10.7 yards per pass attempt on average.

The good news for both of these teams heading into this week however is that they won't have to deal with the likes of a Cam Ward at QB, with Florida's Graham Mertz still recovering from concussion protocol at the time of writing, although still tentatively expected to start this game.

That leaves the run game option and Texas A&M were electric at stopping the run last year, allowing just 3.3 yards per rush attempt to opponents on average, the 16th best mark in the country.

Florida meanwhile were on point in terms of defense themselves to start last season, restricting two top-25 teams in Utah and Tennessee respectively to an average of just 20.0 ppg. That was of course before the wheels came off for them and they suffered their third defeat of the campaign against Georgia, padding out the rest of the season in rather lackluster fashion.

That won't be this game however, and this is a real make-or-break game for both of these teams on Saturday, and one we're expecting a minimum of scoring in as a result.
