The Yankees and Royals meet again in the Bronx. Marcus Stroman starts for the Yankees, so runs will be scored on both ends. Stroman gets 5.85 runs of support this season from the Yankees bats. But his 4.09 ERA and 1.42 WHIP means that Kansas City will have runners on. Stroman's home ERA is over 1.5 runs higher than on the road and 15 of his 18 home runs allowed have come at Yankee Stadium. The Royals have struggled to score on the road however, since August 1st, they are 5th in runs scored, 3rd in home runs hit and 7th in batting average. They are also 11th in OPS and wRC+. Seth Lugo starts for KC. His numbers on the road are great, but so are the Yankees bats at home. Lugo already faced the Yankees this year in Kansas City. The Yankees scored four runs on 8 hits, even though Lugo lasted 7 innings. The Royals bullpen is bad and should give the Yankees a chance to score late if needed.
