Drew Martin
(979) San Diego Padres at (980) Seattle Mariners
Late night Wednesday in the pacific northwest we are not jumping off this Padres money train. Going to ride the Friars again behind their starter Mike King. The righty has been terrific since mid August, pitching to a sub 2 ERA. The last time he faced the Mariners earlier this year he went 6 strong innings giving up just 1 earned run and a 9 to 1 strikeout to walk ratio.
Mariners starter Woo has solid numbers for the full season, however recently he has not been that great. Woo let up 8 hits his last time out and has given up 4 homeruns in his last two starts alone. Now up against the #2 hitting lineup against righties is a tough matchup. Mariners are down (-10 units) on the season, playing uninspired baseball in the second half of the season. Padres as the small underdog is the play. Bet Padres.
