Our selection is on the Houston Astros for the first half on the Run Line.

We take a tough loss with our OVER last night and tonight we come back with a Astros club that will look to bounce back off a loss to the A's. Houston is fighting for a playoff spot and losing to teams like Oakland at home is not an option. We will look for a pissed off Astros club who struggled at the plate yesterday to score early and often. Why do we believe this? Well the Astros get their whacks at Joey Estes. Now Joey can be any type but he has struggled mightily on the road. Joey is sporting a nasty 6.66 ERA with a WHIP of 1.48 on the highway. Last time Estes was in Houston he allowed 8 runs in 3 2 /3 RD innings. We will look for history to repeat itself and the Astros to score early and often. Houston sends Hunter Brown to the hill and he could be the perfect guy to break the Astros two game losing streak. Hunter has been lights out over this last 6 weeks and he sported a 1.45 ERA with a WHIP of 0.86 in the month of August. We will never lay 230 in any ML sport but we believe we have a solid play here with the Astros early in this one.
