3% Take Tampa Bay (#909) (action)

The Guardians have been playing mediocre baseball since the All Star Break, 17-20 in their last 37 games. They’re as fat and happy as it gets, however, coming off a sweep of the lowly White Sox; and they’re in a classic MLB flat spot – first game home off a long road trip.  This is an ‘action’ wager, but it’s worth noting that Cleveland starter Gavin Williams couldn’t make it out of the first inning in his last outing.  It’s also worth noting that the Guardians are just 4-9 in Williams previous 13 starts this season. 

Tampa comes in off a lousy series, swept in Philadelphia.  That said, the Rays haven’t lost four in a row at any point since the All Star Break.  They had one six game skid in May and one four game skid in early June, but that’s it for the entire season when it comes to losing streaks of longer than three games; a Rays team that has responded to adversity extremely well this season.  Tampa’s key bullpen arms are rested and ready behind Ryan Pepiot; Tampa is 5-2 in Pepiot’s last seven starts.  Live dog here!  Take the Rays.
