It’s overreaction week in the NFL and sitting at the top of the list is the Patriots, who beat the Bengals SU last Sunday and knocked many people out of their survivor pools as a result. Let's parashoot back down to reality and come to terms with the fact that Jerod Mayo lacks any kind of significant skill position talent on the offensive side of the ball. New England’s offense ranked dead last in points per game and 29th in yards per play a season ago, and they brought in very little this offseason to turn things around quickly. 
 

Seattle quarterback Geno Smith doesn’t need to be a hero because he has plenty of talent around him. DK Metcalf is virtually unstoppable with his size as well as athleticism, and Lockett and Smith-Njigba make it difficult to double team him. Mike Macdonald certainly knows how to coach a defense, and we’ll look for the Patriots to come back to reality this week. Take the Seahawks.
