I thought I might have an MLB 5% today but it doesn’t look like I’m getting the pitching matchup I wanted.  

I still might come back with MLB later today but for now we have a win for Friday in the bag with Hanwha and I’m going to take a shot in a revenge spot with the Fever here. 

I haven't played a ton of WNBA this season but picking spots has been a nice addition to the portfolio this summer as we enter play +12.4 UNITS in the WNBA so far this season.  No matter what we are going to finish ahead in WNBA in 2024, I've had the Fever circled as a team to find a way in with and we finally get our chance to do it here.

It's obvious what happened here, Caitlin Clark getting snubbed from the Olympic team allowed the Fever to practice together for a month and this is just a vastly improved Indiana squad from what we saw the first half of the season.  Since the WNBA returned on August 16th, Indiana is 8-3 and their only losses are to the Lynx and Aces who (along with the Liberty) make up the upper echelon in this league.

Indiana was destroyed by Las Vegas on multiple occasions in the first half of the season but made marked improvement in a competitive loss on Wednesday and should take another step forward here.  Indiana also had a poor shooting night hitting just 39.7% from the field and 7/26 from three yet were right in the game in the final quarter losing 86-75 in a game that was tighter than that throughout.  

Las Vegas is the litmus test for this league, the Aces won't finish with the best record but were widely considered to be the top team coming into the season and have won this league in back to back years.  This would be a statement win for Clark and company, I think there's a good chance the Fever get it at home and if they don't we have four points to work with.
