Both teams are licking their wounds, but we're a little more concerned on the UAB side. The Blazers were an 11-point road favorite at UL-Monroe last week and lost 32-6. Teams that lost by double digits as a double-digit road favorite are 13-26-1 ATS the following week since 2000. Arkansas blew a 14-point lead at Oklahoma State last week, but there is still a lot that the Razorbacks can take away from that performance. Arkansas out-gained the Cowboys by nearly 300 yards and Bobby Petrino's new offense is showing signs of promise. The Blazers are 0-7 straight-up on the road under Trent Dilfer, losing six of those seven games by double digits. UAB opened the year with a 41-3 win over Alcorn State, prompting some to raise an eyebrow that the Blazers may be improved this season. Well, Alcorn State lost 55-0 to Vanderbilt last week, never crossed midfield and only generated three first downs in the first three quarters. Needless to say, that win has lost some luster. Sam Pittman and this Razorbacks' coaching staff need all the momentum they can get. If the opportunity is there, don't expect Arkansas to take its foot off the gas.
