(113) North Texas at (114) Texas Tech
2% North Texas (+10.5) over Texas Tech —
Texas Tech opened the season with a very exciting game for a CFB fan, but a game that shouldn’t have been that close against Abilene Christian, an FCS school. Their defense allowed over 500 passing yards to the FCS foe, and over 300 yards on the ground LW against Washington St. Their defense has shown it can struggle at both levels, while North Texas is in the top 20 in PPG TY.
North Texas has put up 500+ yards in both games this season and has played a schedule that is arguably as difficult as Texas Tech. A lot of the success should be credited to one of the better QB’s that they have seen in the recent years of their program. Morris was a 3* recruit that was responsible for 12 TDs at TCU LY.
Texas Tech is 0-2 TY ATS this season and it hasn’t even been close. They have failed to cover the spread by 28.5 PPG on average in the 2 games this season.
