At DraftKings, on the alternate spread options, you can get -7 at a -124 price. Yes it potentially costs us a little extra juice if we lose this play but I like the safety of having a -7 as a push rather than a loss. Fully expecting a double digit win however! I love fading the masses and, after losing at home to Northern Illinois last week, everyone is fading the Fighting Irish as this line has gone from nearly 2 TDs to nearly 1 TD and I will take advantage. Purdue is coming off a 4-8 season in which, at one point, they were 2-7. They faced ranked teams twice and lost the games by a combined score of 82 to 20. Lets not forget that ND was #5 in the country and coming off a big win over the Aggies before last week's embarrassment! Last season Notre Dame had only 3 losses and two were versus ranked teams and the other one was Clemson. Notre Dame is 6-0 SU L6 times when coming off a loss (including winning their bowl game 2 years ago after losing regular season finale). All 6 wins were by at least 7 points and also the last 2 have been by a big margin of 28 points or more. I do like former UT QB Hudson Card and he is a solid one for Purdue. But this Boilermakers team, all over the field in terms of personnel on both sides of the ball, just does not have the talent level of the Irish and ND comes into this one angry and focused and fired up! That is bad news for a Boilermakers team that entered this season on an overall 4-10 SU run last 14 games and plus 10 of last 12 losses by 8 or more points!
