Barracas Central vs Banfield
Argentina, Monday, 2pm ET
Play: Barracas Central PK
Odds at Time of Release: +110
Line Parameter: Playable to -105
Barracas Central have been one of the most unimpressive teams in the league so far, but they recently changed their coach and brought in former San Lorenzo boss Insua, who also asked for the venue to be changed from Huracan's home ground to Deportivo Riestra's home ground, which also happens to be right next to San Lorenzo's Nuevo Gasometro, a place where Insua has a lot of familiarity (and aura, if you wanna use that word). Barracas under the new manager bounce and looking to kickstart their season, I think they do not lose this one.
Banfield are also in bad shape, and their coach should have been fired long ago, but the team doesn't want to spend any money in his severance package, so he stays. Which is really bad, especially in Argentina, where it's a performance-based league and coached are often fired in a revolving door type of situation. There's all sorts of problems in Banfield right now, and the fact that they have elections in October 5th only complicates things inside their ranks. They also have several injuries and absences at the back, and even though they too are under pressure, things are not looking good right now. They rarely play well, and even when they do, they simply cannot win.
The way I see it, Barracas Central do not lose this one on the new coach's debut (who also asked for the venue to be changed to a more familiar one, since Barracas Central haven't used their own home ground for quite a while now). Banfield would've changed their coach long ago but their financial situation is terrible. There's been sime line movement in the past hours (that I cannot really justify), but we are going against the flow here.
Take 3u on Barracas Central PK (+110), playable to -105.
