Analysis

4% Rotation #961: MLB 4% OVER 11.5 in Colorado Rockies vs Arizona Diamondbacks @ 8:40 ET - I am coming right back with this play today even though it lost for us here yesterday. So a lot of this write-up is similar but the difference today is we will get those big runs we expected yesterday! South wind and mild temperatures and the ball should carry very well at Coors Field tonight. Couple that with the fact Arizona has been an over machine in the 2nd half of the season and you have a great set up for a solid over here. The Diamondbacks over trend had continued in a big way as they entered this series with 5 of last 7 games not only going over but totaling at least 16 runs apiece! Those are Coors Field numbers folks and now, after yesterday's dud, I am again expecting the Dbacks get involved in another wild one here. The Rockies entered this series off a 6-2 loss Sunday but, prior to yesterday's low-scoring win, all this followed scoring an average of 6.3 runs per game last 8 home games. These two bullpens rank 13th and 15th (last) in the NL for relievers ERA this season! In terms of the starting pitchers here, Arizona likely to go with Jordan Montgomery here after he has been working in bulk relief. Either way it is likely to turn into a bullpen game and the Dbacks pen has had issues this season. Montgomery getting this start because of the injury to Ryne Nelson and Montgomery has a 6.44 ERA in his 19 starts this season and may not be able to go deep here since it has been awhile since he started. As for the Rockies Ryan Feltner, he has pitched better of late but that was on the road. When at home this season he winless in his 12 starts and with a 6.25 ERA and a .319 batting average against! That even includes a great first home start this season as in the last 11 he has allowed 40 earned runs in 53 innings and been hit very hard overall at Coors Field. More of the same here. 4% OVER 11.5 in Colorado
