The odds are definitely wrong on this one, Bologna cannot be that big of a favourite in their first Champions League match EVER, against a Shakhtar Donetsk team that has played in this competitions since forever. 

Shakhtar Donetsk have participated in the Champions League group stage in each of L/7 seasons, and in 13 of L/14. This is the richest team out of Ukraine, they have pulled upsets against the biggest teams in the world (Real Madrid, Barcelona, etc). They might not have the strong squad they've had in years past, but they still have a Brazilian "colony" with 7 Brazilians in their roster, just like they usually do. And, for whatever reason, they always tend to cause their upsets in the early kickoffs, and now they are hosted by Bologna in one of two matches of the early kickoff (12:45pm ET). 

Last but not least, Shakhtar Donetsk, much like all the other Ukrainian teams, have learned to play on the road (even their home matches), as the stadiums in Ukraine were not used. So they have nothing to fear from a Bologna team that has lost their coach (Motta to Juventus), their best striker (Zirkzee to Man United) and their best defender (Calafiori to Arsenal). 
Bologna are win-less in the season (W0 D3 L1), couldn't even beat lowly teams like Como, Empoli and Bologna. I know there's bound to be a lot of enthusiasm in the team for their first Champions League match, but the gap in quality and, even more so, experience is simply massive.
