The Gold Sheet
(467) Miami Dolphins at (468) Seattle Seahawks: Skylar Thompson Passing Yards O/U
We like Miami in this matchup against the Seahawks, but we still believe this number is too high. This will be Thompson's fourth career start, and in his previous three, he's thrown for 166, 152 and 220 yards. The 220-yard effort came in a playoff game against the Buffalo Bills where he was playing from behind and it took him 45 passes to get there. Like we said, we do like Miami (+4.5) to stay very competitive in this game, so we're not projecting a scenario where the Dolphins will be trailing by multiple scores and Thompson will have to throw on every down. Seattle has faced Bo Nix and Jacoby Brissett in the first two weeks, and neither threw more than 140 yards. The Dolphins will likely lean heavily on the running game with De'Von Achane in the backfield and creative sweep plays and motion hand-offs to Tyreek Hill. It's going to take some big plays from Miami's receiving corps to go over this number.
