This one has popped up enough places where we can fire it.  The dome is SOLD OUT for a NOON ET Saturday kick off against a FCS opponent for the first time since I can remember.  

Syracuse has a histroy of destroying teams like this (2023 Colgate 65-0, 2022 Wagner 59-0, 2021 Albany 62-24, 2019 Holy Cross 41-3) and, while this Fran Brown and not Dino Babers I can't see the motivation to do so being any less after being upset by Stanford last week.  

I also don't think this Holy Cross team is as good as advertised, many expected the Crusaders to be top choice in the Patriot League this season but they went 1-3 in non-conference and have been lackluster against like opponents.  I also don't think this game means a ton to them (despite being up against the big name) as their Patriot League opener at Colgate next weekend is far more important. 

I think consensus was there wasn't a huge drop off between Matthew Sluka (last year's QB who is now in the news for the whole UNLV thing) and Joe Pesansky but I purposely tuned in to the Holy Cross/Yale game last week knowing I might want to fire on Syracuse in this spot and confirmed this offense just isn't as good as it was in 2023.  

I'm finding it hard to believe this is anything other than another 40+ point FCS school drubbing at the Dome on Saturday.
