Besiktas with some undeniable quality up front with the additions of Ciro Immobile, Rafa Silva and Joao Mario, but they started off with a terrible 4-0 loss to Ajax in Match Day 1, in a match where they never got it going and their defense was really unreliable. 

Besiktas have scored 24 goals in 9 matches in all competitions so far, scoring 2+ goals in 7 of 9, and 3+ goals in 4 of 9. But their defense is a problem, conceding 12 goals in 9 matches, keeping just 3 clean sheets and conceding 2+ goals in 3 of 9. They have a perfect W4 L0 record at home so far, scoring 13 goals and conceding 4. Really good up front, and they surely want to improve their -4 goal difference from that bad loss to Ajax. 

Frankfurt were 3-1 up at home against Plzen in Match Day 1 of the Europa League but somehow conceded two late goals (86th and 93rd minute) to settle for a 3-3 draw against Plzen. Now they need a result against Besiktas but their defense has not been very reilable so far in the season, and they are in for a rough ride in Turkey. Frankfurt are in good shape to start the season (W5 D1 L1), scoring 18 goals in 7 matches, and scoring 2+ goals in 6 of 7. They have conceded 10 goals in those 7 matches, keeping just 1 clean sheet and conceding 2+ goals in 3 of 7.

Two teams that are coming off bad results in Match Day 1 of the Europa League will look to right the ship on Match Day 2 in what looks like a huge goal-fest here, as Besiktas will also look to improve their goal difference (which is the tiebreaker in this new league phase).
