The Astros are 18-9 this season with Framber Valdez on the mound. Valdez has been stellar at home going 9-2 with a 2.53 ERA holding opposing hitters to .216 batting average.  Houston is 2nd in batting average and wRC+ at home this season, finishing 4th in OPS. The Tigers offense bottom three on the road against lefties in batting average, OPS and wRC+. The Astros have to face Tarik Skubal. The presumptive AL Cy Young has been great everywhere. But in two starts against the Astros, he has a 4.26 ERA against them allowing 13 hits in 12.2 innings and 6 earned runs. In fact, one of Skubal's four losses on the season came against Houston.
