Barcelona is absolutely owning La Liga at the moment. Having taken the maximum 15 points from their five matches, Barca have produced +13 GD while averaging more than 3 goals themselves per match. The Spanish heavyweights will be tough to slow down as they open Champions League play Thursday in France against Monaco.

Then again, Monaco is off to a high-flying start themselves. After finishing second to PSG in Ligue 1 last season, Adi Hutter's side is unbeaten in their four domestic matches this season, including a dominant 3-0 victory over Auxerre this past weekend that allowed them to bring on subs early.

But Barca is clearly a major step up in class from what Monaco has faced thus far and I expect the visitors to claim all three points in this League Phase opener of the UCL. Monaco has actually lost seven consecutive times at home in UCL play! Despite some key injury concerns, Barca should prevail. So look to play them as a short-favorite on the 3-way line.
