THE PLAY: Texas -13.5 (-108)

Clemson is lucky to be in the CFP, only getting the opportunity to play in their conference championship game thanks to a win by Syracuse at the end of the regular season. While they have some offensive playmaking ability, Texas is far and away the better team on the defensive side. The Longhorns ranked 3rd in total defense and 1st in yards per play allowed, which will make all the difference. Expect UT to pull away and win this game by multiple touchdowns. Take Texas. 

THE PLAY: UCLA -130

At 10-1 SU and 8-3 ATS, UCLA has been making money for their backers. Currently on a 9 game winning streak with quality wins over Oregon and Arizona, the Bruins bring one of the best defenses in the nation to New York. They force more turnovers than any team in the country and rank 4th in adjusted defensive efficiency. Mick Cronin’s teams are always tough, and UCLA brings a big size advantage into this matchup. North Carolina has struggled all year against elite competition and they’ve lost 6 of their past 7 ATS. A disciplined team like the Bruins are going to slow down the game and get UNC in the half court set where they’ll either turn you over or force a bad look. Take UCLA ML. 

THE PLAY: Philadelphia Eagles -3.0 (-120)

With the cluster of injuries racking up for Detroit it’s looking more and more like the Eagles are the team to beat in the NFC. This is the best defense in the league and last week Philly showed the football world that they can execute a passing attack just fine. Add in the dual threat capability of Jalen Hurts combined with Saquon Barkley making opponents look foolish, and it’s hard to see how Washington will be able to make enough stops to pull off a cover. Philly has won 10 straight games while the Commanders have dropped 4 of their past 5 ATS. Take the Eagles.
