THE PLAY: Davion Mitchell (MIA) Over 7.5 Assists vs Charlotte
Both the Hornets and Heat are running at a top-3 pace so far on this young season. Davion Mitchell has averaged 8.3 assists per game so far and the Hornets have allowed an average of 12.3 assists per game to opposing point guards, which is fifth-most among all teams. In three head-to-head matchups last season, Mitchell averaged seven assists per game against the Hornets but he's seeing plenty more opportunities thus far in 2025. Miami leads the league in fast break scoring and the Hornets' defense leaves a lot to be desired in that department. Look for Mitchell to be the main facilitator tonight, notching over 7.5 assists at a plus-money price at home against Charlotte.
