Real Madrid are hit by a TON of injuries, as now 7 players, mostly starters, are set to miss this match, with defenders Alaba, Carvajal and Militao definitely missing with injuries, along with starting wingers Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr, and Vasquez with Tchouameni are still listed as questionable to participate. Even if they play, they will not be at 100%.

Liverpool also have some injuries themselves, with key right back Alexander Arnold missing this one, along with starting goalkeeper Alisson and Diogo Jota, but they do have some solid reserves to substitute them.

Liverpool haven't been able to exact revenge for that lost Champions League Final back in 2018 where Sergio Ramos destroyed Salah's shoulder early in the match and went on to beat Liverpool by 3-1. Since then the two teams have met 5 times, with just one draw and Real Madrid winning the other 4.

Liverpool won't get a better chance to take revenge for that lost final, they are now playing at home where they've been almost perfect this season (W8 L1), including a 4-0 thrashing of the once mighty Leverkusen. At the same time, Real Madrid have won just 3 of 7 away matches in all competitions, losing to Lille in the Champions League and also dropping points at Mallorca, Las Palmas and Atletico Madrid.
