Army finds themselves in a bad scheduling spot as they are coming off the Notre Dame game in which they got their doors blown off and have their Conference Championship game next week. THE PLAY: Kansas -1.5 (-110)

Kansas is 5-6 and has won three in a row, accomplishing something no other team in college football has done before: they beat three straight Top 25 teams while having a losing record. Kansas wasn’t your typical 2-5 team three weeks ago, as turnovers killed this team early on. They lost three in a row against Illinois, UNLV, and WVU by a combined 13 points. In those three losses, they were on the wrong side of an 8-3 turnover margin. They had two other losses where they lost by 2 and 4 points. That’s five of six losses by six points or less.

Kansas has beaten Iowa State, BYU, and Colorado, and normally, after pulling off three wins against ranked teams, I would look to fade them here, as I would have them on fat and sassy alert. However, at 5-6, getting to 6-6 is a huge deal for this team. It avoids a losing season, which is a significant mental motivator.

Two weeks ago, when they played undefeated BYU, I was all in on Kansas, as 2-6 Kansas was only getting 2.5 at BYU. On the radio show I do from the Westgate, I asked the sportsbook director, John Murray, flat out if this line was begging people to bet BYU. His answer was that in all of their rankings, even at 2-6, the Kansas offense still had Top 25 numbers.

Kansas has been running the football well, gaining 183 or more yards in four of their last five games. That’s bad news for Baylor, who in recent games allowed Iowa State to rush for 265 yards and WVU to rush for 262 yards.

Kansas has cleaned up their turnovers, as they have only had three turnovers in the last six games. Baylor has won five in a row, but against the bottom half of the Big 12, and in six of their last eight games, they have allowed 34 or more points.
