This sets up as a sneaky-good under spot in Anaheim.

The Giants return to the West Coast after a hard-fought, emotional series and could come out flat at the plate. They’ve had their issues against left-handed pitching, and they’ll be facing Tyler Anderson, who’s quietly been in strong form. He’s historically started seasons well, and 2025 is no exception — he’s keeping hitters off balance with soft contact and limiting big innings.

On the other side, the Angels are finally back home after playing 15 of their first 18 on the road. Their offense came out of the gate hot, but it’s cooled considerably, regressing to expectations. They now run into Logan Webb, who continues to be one of the most reliable arms in the league. Webb has refined his pitch mix this year and is inducing ground balls at an elite clip.

Weather conditions favor the under. We’re looking at 50s with a marine layer in Anaheim, which historically suppresses offense and kills fly balls in this park.

Both teams have quality arms available out of the bullpen, so even if either starter runs into trouble, there’s enough relief depth to keep this game tight. Under 8 is the look.
