THE PLAY: Total Under 43.5 (-110)

We're going to keep this one short and sweet: We don't believe any total in a Raiders game should be this high. Here's the Raiders' closing totals this season: 40.5, 42, 40, 37, 36 and 36.5. Why is this total against the Rams the highest of the season? Aidan O'Connell got the nod at quarterback against the Steelers, but it doesn't matter who the Raiders use right now because their offense is purely one-dimensional. Las Vegas is averaging 79.5 rushing yards per game (No. 31) with 3.7 yards per attempt (No. 31). The Raiders are last in the league in rushing success rate and last in EPA per rush attempt. EPA is an advanced metric that calculates how much a play adds or subtracts from a team's expected point total. Every time the Raiders run a designed rushing play, they lose -0.4 expected points. Only one other team (Miami) is in the same stratosphere when it comes to being that bad at running the football this season. Using a scripted drive, the Raiders marched down the field in six minutes against Pittsburgh to open last week's contest. They didn't score again for the next 44 minutes and 30 seconds.
